Origin and Character
Produced in Menghai County, this loose-leaf purple bud Sheng Pu'er takes a notably gentle approach to young raw tea. Rather than emphasising bitterness and strength, it focuses on fragrance, freshness and drinkability.
Throughout our tasting the tea remained consistently sweet, revealing lively gooseberry acidity supported by delicate floral aromatics and soft mineral notes. Even when pushed to a five-minute infusion with boiling water, it stayed remarkably balanced, making it an excellent choice for those exploring raw Pu'er without the intensity often associated with young Sheng.

✦ The Astraluna Perspective ✦
Not every young Sheng Pu'er needs to be powerful. This tea is defined by refinement rather than intensity.
Its greatest strength lies in its accessibility. Brewed with boiling water through multiple Gong fu infusions, it remained remarkably low in bitterness while maintaining floral elegance and lively gooseberry freshness. The body stays light throughout the session, favouring clarity and fragrance over density. For experienced Sheng drinkers it offers a graceful change of pace, while newcomers will appreciate how forgiving and approachable it is.
