Origin and Character
Mu Dan Wang is the most bud-rich grade within the Bai Mu Dan family, sitting close to Silver Needle in tenderness while retaining enough leaf to add fragrance and body.
The fine down on the buds contributes hao xiang (毫香), the fresh, soft aroma associated with well-made bud-heavy white tea. In the cup, this combines with floral sweetness and a delicate creamy quality.

✦ The Astraluna Perspective ✦
Mu Dan Wang occupies a graceful threshold between Silver Needle and leafier white tea. The buds bring purity and softness, while the few tender leaves add fragrance, body and movement across the session. We chose it because it demonstrates that balance can be found not in sameness, but in proportion. Each infusion feels composed and luminous, making this a tea for quiet appreciation rather than hurried evaluation.

Storage
Keep sealed in a cool, dry and odour-free place. Careful storage can soften the fresh floral character and encourage deeper honeyed notes.
